1. Who we are

PriceLens is a Chrome browser extension developed and operated by EDUTECH WISE - FZCO (License #72643, Dubai IFZA). Our website is pricelens.online and you can contact us at [email protected].

2. What data we collect

PriceLens is designed with privacy as a default. We collect the absolute minimum necessary to provide the service:

• Product information: When you visit an Amazon product page, the extension reads the product title, price, and ASIN (product ID) to perform price comparisons. This data is used only for that search and is not stored on our servers.
• Anonymous usage statistics: We may collect aggregate, anonymised data such as how many price comparisons were performed per day. This data cannot be linked to any individual user.
• Email address (optional): If you sign up for our waitlist or newsletter, we store your email address to send you updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. What we do NOT collect

• Your name, address, or any personal identity
• Your browsing history outside Amazon product pages
• What products you purchase or add to cart
• Payment information of any kind
• Location data beyond your country (for tax/delivery estimates)
• Cookies beyond those set by the sites you visit

4. How we use your data

Any data processed by PriceLens is used solely to:

• Fetch price comparisons from third-party stores (Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, etc.)
• Display price history via the Keepa API
• Send product alerts you explicitly requested
• Improve the extension's performance and accuracy

5. Third-party APIs

To provide price data, PriceLens communicates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Rainforest API — Amazon product data
• Keepa API — 90-day price history
• eBay Partner Network API — eBay listings
• AliExpress Affiliate API — AliExpress products
• SerpAPI — Google Shopping results

These services receive the product title or ASIN to return price data. No personally identifiable information is shared.

6. Affiliate links

PriceLens uses affiliate links when directing you to stores. If you make a purchase through one of these links, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence the prices shown or the ranking of results — we always show you the cheapest price, regardless of affiliate status.

7. Data storage and security

PriceLens stores minimal data in your browser's local storage (your alert preferences, for example). This data never leaves your device. We do not operate a user database.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to:

• Access any personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
